Christopher Renoud, P.E. - Chief Executive Officer


Chris Renoud fiberglass structural engineering Having spent the last 20 years gaining technical experience in all facets of FRP design, inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance, Chris Renoud is well-poised to lead FSE® as Chief Executive Officer. His life-long exposure to the business culminated in 2008 with the transitioning of the Company to himself from founder Winston Renoud. Chris graduated with high honors and numerous academic, leadership and service awards from Illinois Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and has his MBA from Western Washington University. Chris volunteers with the local high schools as an engineering coach for the International Bridge Building Contest.


Winston Renoud, P.E. - President


Winston Renoud Fiberglass Structural EngineeringWinston Renoud founded FSE® in 1976, and takes pride in the fact that over the past 30 years FSE has performed services for the majority of the Fortune 500 companies around the world, engineering the world’s largest fiberglass scrubbers, pipes and vessels. Winston is a nationally recognized expert in the use FRP in corrosive applications. He holds a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University, and has authored numerous technical articles relating to the use of FRP in specialized industrial applications. Winston’s primary focus now at FSE® is business development.


Randy Rapoza, P.E. - Vice President of Operations


Holding the distinction of being FSE’s first employee, Randy Rapoza has served as FSE’s Principal Engineer and foremost technical authority for over 30 years. The wide variety of projects Randy has managed over that span give him the necessary experience to ensure successful execution of client projects and achievement of client objectives. Randy earned his B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, and holds Professional Engineering licenses in several states. He is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Materials & Process Engineering (SAMPE).


Kyle Schmidt - Senior Project Engineer


Kyle Schmidt has 35 years of FRP experience, including engineering, design, specification development, review of design submittals, inspection, failure investigation, and sample evaluation. His past projects include all types of FRP equipment, including aboveground and underground piping systems and storage tanks, duct, scrubbers, stacks and stack liners. Kyle holds a B.S. Degree in Construction Management from Washington State University.


Steve Gaber - Senior Project Manager


With over 30 years of experience, Steve Gaber is a veteran of the FRP industry and manages FSE’s larger, more complex projects. He is involved with analyzing the feasibility of new projects, facilitating business development and overseeing contract and project execution. Steve earned his B.S Degree in Industrial Technology from Western Washington State College. He is certified as a Project Management Professional, and is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).


Darice Ratzlaff, CFO


As the most recent addition to the FSE® management team, Darice Ratzlaff brings 17 years of finance and business management experience, with over 10 years in the FRP industry. Darice graduated with honors from the University of Washington with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the Washington Society of CPAs, and is a Past President and current Treasurer of the North Cascades Chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants. Darice serves as a Chore volunteer for the Whatcom Volunteer Center.
